A Railbus used by the Provost Marshall of Fort Dix to transport prisoners. I've read two things about the prisoners- they were moved from the Fort to Mt. Holly for court and they were moved around for track work (gangs). I have also read it was used around the base for security. I have two build years for this- 1938 or 1939. |
